The Gozo Half Marathon Organising Committee is proud to announce that registrations for participation in the 44th edition of the Teamsport Gozo Half Marathon are now open. The event is by far the largest and longest-standing athletic event in Gozo attracting hundreds of local and foreign athletes.
The 2019 edition marks a very special edition for one of Malta’s most anticipated racing events with several changes to the event format which will make it a truly unique running experience. In fact, the event will be spread over two days – 27 & 28 April – making it a perfect opportunity for friends and families alike to spend a weekend in Gozo, enjoying the untouched beauty of Malta’s sister island and experiencing this revolutionary format of the event, which is the first of its kind in the Maltese Islands.
For the first time ever, competitive races for children (Kids 2km and Kids 4km) will take place on Saturday 27th April 2019 making it possible for athletic parents/relatives to watch their little ones run. On Sunday 28th April 2019, apart from the half marathon, the organisers are proud to debut a new 10km route which will replace the previous 8-mile race. The Sunday event will also feature a number of non-competitive runs/walks, namely 10km walk, 5km walk, family 5km run, and family 2km run.
More details can be found on the official website www.gozomarathon.org, or on the various social media platforms.
