About Gozo

Gozo is only 8 km northwest of it's sister island Malta and can be accessed via a 20 minute trip by ferry or helicopter. The island is largely un-spoilt and offers an ideal retreat for a relaxing holiday. Smaller and greener than Malta the island is only fourteen kilometers long and 7 kilometers wide and has beautiful countryside that is ideal for walking.

At the centre of the island is Victoria the capital of Gozo. The Citadel, perched on the hill top of Victoria, offers commanding views of the island and for centuries this served as the islanders' safest sanctuary. Within the walls of the Citadel you will find the 17th Century Cathedral and several interesting museums including a natural History and Armory museum.

One of the pleasures when visiting any country is its local cuisine and this is particularly enjoyable in Gozo. All the produce sold in the markets and served within the restaurants are fresh from the fields or sea. Gozo has many interesting sights on offer, including the Azure Window, the red sand beach at Ramla Bay and the nearby Calypso's Cave. Other sandy beaches include San Blas Bay, Xlendi Bay and Marsalforn Bay.
